Top 10 Reasons to Overcome Caffeine Addictions

We all know that caffeine can cause the jitters, make you feel anxious and nervous, and can stain your teeth, but did you know the following reasons why your caffeine addiction should be stopped?

#1. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system masking fatigue, which confuses the body.
When we rely on caffeine for energy, we never get to evaluate how we really feel and cannot properly assess our nutritional status or sleep patterns.
#2. The more caffeine you consume, the more your body and brain become insensitive to its own natural stimulants, dopamine and adrenaline.
#3. Caffeine inhibits the absorption of essential vitamins and minerals.
#4. Many studies link over consumption with higher risks for miscarriage, osteoporosis, stroke and heart disease.
#5. Caffeine increases the heart rate and overtime can increase the workload of the heart.
#6. According to a study in the American Journal of Psychiatry frequent consumption can lead to anxiety, depression, and nervous disorders.
#7. Coffee is very acid forming and excess can disrupt the body's acid alkaline balance.
#8. Caffeine contains compounds called methyxanthines that can cause lumps in breast tissue to become inflamed and tender.
#9. Over consumption of caffeine decreases blood flow to the brain by as much as 30%, which can lead to memory problems and decline.
#10. Caffeine stimulates a temporary surge in blood sugar, followed by an overproduction of insulin leading to a blood sugar crash and further desire for caffeine creating a cyclical problem.

The good thing is these caffeine-associated problems can oftentimes be reversed. With that in mind, it is my pleasure to help you become happier and healthier by overcoming your caffeine addiction!
